“Future Proof” Upgradability
Thermal imaging scopes are improving in several ways every year, and user needs also change, so the Telos XP50 is designed to be upgraded for years to come. Fit it with powerful optics, a higher resolution sensor and display, more efficient and functional electronics, or add a laser rangefinder and additional optical channels. Users will always have the latest device, but at the more affordable cost of upgrading their Telos XP50.
Highly Sensitive Thermal Sensor
The Telos XP50 thermal sensor features outstanding sensitivity, with an NETD of <18 mK. This translates to clearly seeing the smallest temperature differences when thermal contrast is low, such as in rain or fog, or on a cold morning.
Advanced Image Processing
Pulsar’s proprietary Image Boost algorithms work with the highly sensitive thermal sensor to produce the highest levels of detail, clarity and contrast. The Telos XP50 renders complex scenes of evenly emitting, low contrast objects (sky, grass, water, etc.) in a wide range of halftones. Software detailing and sharpening of objects at different distances makes the thermal image highly informative. Manually increasing the thermal imaging sensor sensitivity improves the quality of animal detection when observation conditions worsen. A smoothing filter and a wide range of brightness and contrast settings make prolonged observation time comfortable.
Zoom and Focusing Rings
Adjust the image in Telos with one hand! The smooth zoom and focusing rings are located on the lens in the classic layout of professional camera objective lenses. This arrangement of the rings makes it quick and easy to capture a clear image at the desired magnification.
1900+ Yards Detection Range
A powerful long-distance F50/1.0 germanium lens combined with the highly-sensitive thermal sensor provides exceptional detection capabilities. The Telos XP50 captures top quality, richly detailed, and high contrast thermal images every time, even during rain or fog, when the temperature contrast of the observed scene is minimal. A standard 6 foot tall object can be detected over 1900 yards away in complete darkness.
Precise Laser Ranging Over 1000 Yards (LRF XP50 only)
The built-in laser rangefinder of the Telos LRF XP50 has a range of over 1000 yards and measures distances in single measurements and continuous scanning modes. Ranging accuracy is within a yard for quick and error-free distance assessment.
Use With Either Hand Plus User Control
Its ergonomic shape makes the Telos XP50 comfortable for prolonged use, and the symmetrical layout of Telos XP50 controls means either hand can be used for operation. The control buttons are in a row on the top panel, and refined lens rings are used for focusing and changing magnification. The hand strap also adapts to left- or right-handed operation. Providing even more user control, the order of items in the Telos XP50 menu can be set to accommodate personal preferences.
User Mode
The User Mode function saves selected brightness and contrast settings in the Telos XP50 memory, ready to be invoked without further adjustments. Those settings help maximize image detail and informative value under specific observation conditions.
High Contrast AMOLED display
Even when on-the-move or in cold conditions, the 1024x768 AMOLED display produces clear and smooth high contrast images with improved color rendering, greater power savings, and quick response.
Selection of 8 Color Palettes
A choice of 8 color palettes lets the user make more effective observations for specific tasks, as well as adapt to changing conditions. White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are optimal for object detection. Rainbow and Ultramarine help with recognition and identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are most suitable for long observation in the night.
Built-in Video with 64GB Storage
The Telos XP50 has a built-in video recorder. One touch of a button is enough to snap a photo or start recording video. 64GB of internal memory stores hours of video and tens of thousands of photos.
Stream to iOS and Android Devices
Built-in Wi-Fi connects the Telos XP50 to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This enables wireless software updates, real-time image transmission to the smartphone screen, publication images and video on social media, remote control of the Telos XP50, and more. Also, registered users receive 16 GB of cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the Telos XP50.
Dual 2.4 / 5 GHz Wi-Fi Waveband Support
In addition to supporting the standard smartphone Wi-Fi frequency of 2.4 GHz, the Telos XP50 supports the the 5 GHz frequency. This offers better bandwidth, a faster data transfer rate, noise immunity, and improved connection stability. Bottom line: The Telos XP 50 plays nice with smartphones!
The Telos XP50
USB-C or Wireless Battery Charging
The brand-new LPS 7i quick-change Li-ion battery guarantees more than 8 hours of operating time. The LPS 7i uses standard USB Type-C port and a fast charging protocol. The LPS 7i also supports wireless charging.
Built for the Toughest Conditions
The Telos XP50 is designed for use in the rugged outdoors and across a temperature range of -13° to 104° F. It is also IPX7 waterproof-rated for protection from heavy rainfall, snow, or other precipitation. The Telos XP50 runs flawlessly even after submersion in over to 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. The composite polymeric housing is rubber coated and has no protruding parts for superior durability.
Ergonomic and Functional Carrying Case
Stylish on the outside, the Telos XP50 case is user-friendly and comfortable to carry. It provides quick access to the thermal monocular, and the belt positioning system distributes the weight without loading the shoulders, back, and neck. The case fits snugly to the body, but also allows the user to freely bend, turn, and crouch while moving across country and using weapons. Additionally, the Telos case is equipped with straps for attaching it to a waist belt, as well as to equipment with a modular Molle fixation system, including backpacks and webbed gears.
